Our international development network spans Austria, Sweden, Taiwan, and Hong Kong. As we continue to grow, we are expanding our capabilities at our new R&D center in Tsuen Wan. We are looking for a detail-oriented Purchasing & Sourcing Specialist who will play a critical role in bridging the gap between high-end engineering and reliable manufacturing.
JUNIOR / EXPERIENCED / SENIOR LEVEL
Purchasing & Sourcing Specialist (M/W/D)
Your Role
As part of our Hong Kong R&D team, you will manage the purchasing side of new cooling products, from finding the right suppliers through RFQ, tooling and sampling all the way to mass production. You will be the main point of contact for our manufacturing partners in Mainland China and make sure that our technical requirements are understood and met.
Depending on your experience, you will take responsibility for individual sourcing tasks or manage the purchasing side of larger product development projects independently.
The position is based in our Hong Kong office. Visits to manufacturing partners in Mainland China, primarily within the Pearl River Delta, are part of the role.
Your responsibilities
-
Find and evaluate suppliers: Identify and assess suppliers for electronic components, mechanical parts and raw materials and build long-term working relationships with them.
-
Source components: Find reliable sources for specialised components and secure their availability for both R&D prototypes and mass production.
-
Manage the RFQ process: Prepare and manage RFQs for new products and work closely with our engineers to ensure that suppliers receive complete and correct technical specifications.
-
Coordinate tooling: Work with suppliers and our mechanical engineers during tooling, track progress and lead times and follow up on open issues.
-
Organise prototypes and samples: Procure materials for prototypes and follow sample runs to ensure they are available in line with the project schedule.
-
Analyse costs and negotiate: Compare supplier quotes, negotiate prices and identify opportunities to reduce manufacturing costs while maintaining product quality.
-
Monitor supplier quality: Verify together with our engineering team that supplied parts meet the required tolerances and material specifications and evaluate supplier performance over time.
-
Support the transition into mass production: Monitor production timelines and logistics and work with our partners to ensure a smooth production start and consistent supply.
-
Work across disciplines: Cooperate with R&D, Product Management and our teams in Hong Kong, Europe and Asia throughout the product lifecycle.
What We Are Looking For
You are a proactive problem-solver who enjoys the "hunt" for the perfect part. You understand that in high-end hardware, the quality of the component is as important as the design. You have a sharp eye for detail and can navigate complex negotiations with manufacturing partners.
Ideally, you bring ...
-
Bachelor's or Master’s Degree in Supply Chain Management, Engineering, Business Administration, Operations Management, or related disciplines.
-
MBA or professional procurement certification (CIPS, CPSM, CPM, APICS) is an advantage.
-
Proven experience in procurement, sourcing, or supply chain management, preferably within the electronics or PC hardware industry.
-
Strong understanding of manufacturing processes (e.g., injection molding, CNC machining, surface treatments, product assembly).
-
Experience managing RFQs and negotiating with manufacturers in Mainland China/Pearl River Delta region.
-
Ability to interpret technical drawings to ensure correct parts are sourced for production.
-
Excellent organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple projects and vendor timelines simultaneously.
-
Languages: Fluency in English and Mandarin is essential for communicating with our international team and local manufacturing partners
Experience level
We are open to candidates at different stages of careers
-
Junior/Entry Level: You are a recent graduate or have early-career experience in procurement, eager to learn the complexities of high-end hardware sourcing.
-
Experienced: You have 3+ years of experience in sourcing and procurement, with a proven track record in managing supplier relationships and complex production schedules.
-
Senior Level: You are a seasoned procurement expert capable of leading entire supply chain strategies, navigating high-level negotiations, and overseeing large-scale manufacturing transitions for premium products.
What You Can Expect
Our Hong Kong R&D centre is located in Tsuen Wan, approximately five minutes' walk from the MTR station.
You will work in a modern Grade A office environment with a dedicated engineering and testing laboratory as well as in-house prototyping equipment including 3D printing and desktop CNC capabilities.
More importantly, you will become part of an international engineering organisation in which Hong Kong is not simply a liaison office. You will actively contribute to the development of Noctua products and work directly with our engineering teams and manufacturing partners.
We Offer:
-
5-day work week
-
Flexible working hours
-
CNY Double pay
-
15 days annual leave
-
Medical insurance
-
Modern office and dedicated R&D/testing facilities
